Our story

SMRadio is a Belgian rockband that sounds like a sand-blown-desert-storm-tornado hitting you smack in the face! Rock, punk, … even Disco can pass through this high energy band that excels in their live performances.

The Inspirer, Composer & Chief of Staff, Michel Spiessens originally founded SMRadio in 2015. Now the band is off to a totally new chapter!

In November 2022 SMRadio played their first show in the city of Antwerp.

The response was ecstatic!

More shows followed and as we all know, the more a band can play, the more the magic increases!!

‘Daydrinking part 1’ was released in 2023 as SMRadio’s first EP.

‘Daydrinking part 2’ is a fact, so stay tuned!

The Band:

Michel Spiessens (lead vocals, bass)

Besides composing every song, writing every lyric or lick, Michel is a must see frontman!

Stephanie Lawson (vocals, percussion)

Has an unrelenting enthousiasm as backing vocal and steady percussion.

Rory Claes (guitar)

Is the solo-maker with that dirty guitar sound that keeps that ‘smack in the face’ going.

Alfredo Bravo (drums)

SMRadio’s backbone, steady ass & the ultimate drumstick destroyer!
